    Hello
I am a CCAP candidate for the batch of 2015-17, awaiting my results – and I have a few queries, that I would be grateful, if you could resolve –

    1) What is the tentative date for the results to be announced, and on what platform(s) will they be announced? Also – upon working under CRISIL – what is the role we will be playing under the CCAP program?

    2) I am a computer science graduate, and want to work in the field of finance. But as of now my knowledge of finance is limited. So, I want to know whether the GD/PI be more Finance-oriented or general? For GD/PI preparations, any books, websites, topics-to-go-through that you would recommend?

    Thank you!

      Hi Falguni,

      1. The results are out, selected candidates have received call and email.
As a CCAPian, you will have 4days of work and 2days of lectures. After the initial 45 days you will be allotted a department and the work will be different in every department.
      2. There have been many instances where engineers have joined as CCAPians. Gdpi is based on HR and technical questions related to your field. Read about current affairs and be prepared for common interview questions tell me something about yourself, hobbies, why CCAP etc

Hi, I am right now working in an IT company and am really not happy with my work. So I want to change my domain. Hence I appeared for CCAP. Here are my questions from past CCAPians–

1.Will this course be very challenging for me? since m from engineering background?
2.How will be the life during these 2 years and after these two years.
    3.Is the work interesting?
4.And at last how is Salary in this field?

Thanks in beforehand and if you know when ccap result will be out pls post here.

      DimpleUdani said:
      April 22, 2015 at 9:37 pm

      Hi Antarik,

There have been past examples where people have shifted from IT to join CCAP.
      1. This course is a good foundation for people interested in finance. It will be challenging as you will have to pick up on many finance related subjects. But as I mentioned a lot of people in CCAP are from engineering background so it’s not difficult to manage.
      2. 4days work and 2days lectures. Gives you a good balance between learning and studies. Also there’s alot of on the job learning and CCAP students are treated at par with other employees for these 2yrs (except for the salary part)
      3. You are allotted department after the initial 45days. Work for every departments is different so can’t comment much on that.
      4. Salary after 2yrs is good and depending on your work variable pay is offered post 2yrs. It’s more of learning that matters.

          Hi Antarik,

Congrats! For gd, being aware of the current affairs will help. 10 candidates will be a part of the gd and 2 HR coordinator. Make a few strong points and don’t get into one on one with any candidate (it’s not a debate). That should get you through.
As for pi, HR as well as technical questions related to your field will be asked like temme something about yourself, why CCAP, hobbies, about your internship, where do you see yourself 5yrs down the line etc.
          Best of luck!

      Hi Ishita,

Essay writing section can be volatile. Last time they had given us 5 words and asked to write a story using all of them and give it an appropriate title. So this section can be asked in different ways. You can prepare by typing essay on different topics or just select 5 random words and make up a story in 15mis.

      Hi Akansha,

There is no specific weightage mentioned. After clear your aptitude test, there is GD and PI rounds. In your PI round you are asked HR and technical questions related to your academic background, extra curricular activities, work experience etc. So thats when all of this helps.

          DimpleUdani said:

          Hi Shehnaz,

All your answers don’t have to be correct. It’s a percentile system rather. So the top scorers get a chance in the 1st round. For example, top 100 scorers are called for the 1st round of which say 40 are selected then they call next 40-50 for the 2nd round and select 10 out of it. Just giving an example of how it should be.

      Hi Vinit,

You can apply for the course with your BCom marks (at least 55% marks or the equivalent cumulative grade point average (CGPA)) and in additional qualifications you can mention your CA IPCC marks. The curriculum includes a broad range of finance related subjects. For more info on the structure of CCAP you can visit our site http://www.crisil.com/ccap/ccap-structure.html

          Hi Vinit,

The interview is based on technical and hr questions. If you are able to crack the interview then your ATKT should not be a problem given that you clear those papers.

      DimpleUdani said:
      February 3, 2015 at 11:53 pm

      Hi,

Quant, logic and verbal section has 20 questions. The GK section will have 25 questions while there will be 1 question in the essay section. So in all 86 questions. Essay score isn’t considered for calculation of marks but they may be considered for GD/ PI selection. This was the format followed last year there may be variation.

      Hi Abid,

The certificate which you are mentioning needs to be submitted at the time of joining and not right now for registration process.
A certificate from the Principal would be sufficient at the time of joining. You can talk about the same with HR once you get selected.

      Hi Khushali,

CCAP Program is a two-year full time program. Participants have to join Crisil’s office in Mumbai location for the same. Each division and team of Crisil follows a different timing so anything on the same cannot be generalized. Further, it can be difficult to manage two regular courses simultaneously.

      Hi,
It largely depends on how you are travelling and which mode of transport you are going to use. Please let me know the information as in where you are from, how you will be travelling to Chennai and what are your plans. I will find out and let you know how to reach the Chennai office.

      Hi,
The interview won’t just focus on finance. Many different questions will be asked from various topics. Depends solely on the interviewer. But a little basic of knowledge would definitely help. They might ask you a few basic questions on finance. Stay calm listen to the questions thoroughly and then answer. You are not going there to write a finance paper so basic knowledge would do.

I think you should come from vikhroli. You will get share autos outside station which will take you to powai. The buses from kanjurmarg station are too crowded. But the frequency is good. You can try that is you wish. The bus number is 602.

      Hi,
There are approximately 200 students selected for the GDPI. The interviewer looks at a person’s behaviour and skills. his likes and dislikes. Whether that person will be able to handle and stretch himself/herself because the programme require lot of hardwork and dedication. Accordingly they decide.

      Hi,
Baring a few questions, each candidate is asked different questions. Since you are from an engineering background there won’t be questions related to finance. But you may be asked why do you want to change fields, why CCAP and other such things. They will also ask questions about your personal profile, academic background, extra curricular activities, etc. You maintain your calm and go along with the flow of questions. All the best.

I have attempted about 50% of the (quants and DI/LR) and 70-85% (verbal and GK). What are the chances of selection for GD/PI if we assume that all the answers were correct?

And do they consider the essay for selection or not? (It was written that it does not count into the overall percentile.)

        March 24, 2014 at 10:33 pm

        Hey,
I guess it will be evaluated as it has been given a weightage of marks. Normally while selecting on the basis of CAT scores, a person should have scored atleast 90 per cent in the test. So I guess the selection will be on the same lines even for the CCAP test. You should atleast score overall 90 per cent.

    Mohit said:
    March 18, 2014 at 11:37 pm

Is there any particular order in which the selected candidates are called for the interviews? Are the students who were selected through the XAT/CAT scores called first or is it a random order? And could you also brief me regarding the type of questions generally asked in the interview?

      hetalga said:
      March 19, 2014 at 10:41 pm

I guess the selection for the interview is on random basis. And the questions asked in the interview are different for everyone. They can ask on any topic or subject. Sometimes the questions just flow one after the other. There is no set list of questions that are asked. But some questions like the personal profile of the candidate, reasons for which one wants to join CCAP, academic background can be common for all.

As you’ve mentioned that last year you got random words as a topic for the essay, could you please elaborate on the conditions for writing the essay?
Was it like you link the words and create an essay or that you mention each and every word in your essay and linking them isn’t crucial?
What were the exact conditions for the same?

      hetalga said:
      March 18, 2014 at 10:54 pm

There are no conditions as such. One was free to write on any topic. The words should be used in such a manner that the whole thing makes sense. Its not necessary to link the words, but use the words according to their appropriate meaning.

CCAP certificate is equivalent to MBA degree? After a couple of years if I choose to work from some other location will the CCAP certiicate willbe valid as a post graduate degree certificate?

There is difference between the way CCAP programme and a regular MBA programme is structured. But the programme surely adds value to your profile and enhances your knowledge. You can definitely get a job elsewhere, because of the additional certificate and he job experience. But it is not equivalent to a post graduation degree you can get from an university.

      Hi Shoubhik,
The programme is designed to impart in you financial knowledge and help you excel as as a financial analyst. There are various job profiles available which a person can take up after the completion of the programme. At work you get to learn from scratch. Hey ! Right now I am in my final year doing BBA (Banking & Insurance). I wanted to know how much the workload in CCAP is like as I’m planning to give my CFA Level 1 Exam in December 2014 as well. Is it a viable option ? And can I apply for an MBA Program after I complete this program or Ill have to continue with CRISIL for a specific period of time ? Thanks for your time.

      hetalga said:
      March 3, 2014 at 10:20 pm

      Hi Akash,
The worload in the CCAP programme varies from department to department. It quite often gets difficult to manage work within the four days and finding a balance between work and study. Having said that, it is possible to give CFA exam like many CCApians have given the exams during the course of the two years and cleared it. It requires a little extra effort on their part. Also the curriculum of CCAP is structured in a manner which will help the candidates to take up the CFA and FRM exams.
Yes, definitely you can apply for MBA programme after CCAP if you so wish to. It depends uon you whether you want to continue working or pursue further studies. Your time at CRISIL will just add to your work experience in your profile.

      hetalga said:
      March 1, 2014 at 10:02 pm

      Hi,
Even an average student can complete the course. The main thing required is sheer hard work and dedication. For each subject there will be a mid term and an end term. The style of paper is decided by the professor. It depends on what he/she wants to test the students on. The professor may cancel the mid term and give an assignment instead. And the test is just like any other examination we have given in school and college.

      GK
      Essay writing
And each section has 30 minutes each except the essay section which has 15 minutes.

    1. What would be the level of the entrance test?
    2. Which books should I refer to prepare?
    3. Is this exam held once a year only?
    4. If I couldn’t make it this time, would I be eligible to give this exam next year? (I am sep1989 born)
I would be very thankful to you.

      1. The level of difficulty of the CCAP test is in line with that of a CAT/XAT exam.
      2. You can refer to any of the books available in the market which help in preparation of CAT exam. There are authors like R S Agrawal and Arun Sharma.
      3. Yes the exam is held only once in a year.
      4. I can’t assure you of that as the eligibility criteria changes every year. But you can surely check and apply if you are eligible

      hetalga said:
      February 26, 2014 at 10:17 pm

Once you clear the test you will selected for the GDPI round. A student is allowed to fail only in 2 subjects throughout the four semester. But he/she will not be considered fail if he/she is able to get atleast 50 per cent in that subject. If this is not fulfilled the student may be asked to leave the programme in extreme cases.

I have a grade system, My overall percentage are around 71. In one subject that I got ATKT, in next exam scored 49 marks, second subject, got ATKT, in next exam scored 74 and honestly very unexpectedly today another backlog has come.

My program is not University degree, it is an equivalent degree, so the institution and IIMs and others don’t consider it as ATKT, what will be the procedure with CRISIL?

I have studied for this on my own and it is a common knowledge about the difficulty level of the program.

Prior to that I had a Polytechnic diploma from a university where I don’t have any backlogs and so has been the case for schooling.

          H,
See the programme is different from a regular MBA programme. The MBA programme touches upon the basics of many different fields in the first year and ten a specialisation in the second year. But the CCAP course is specifically designed to mould your career in the field of finance. The course has different subjects based on finance and economics. For better details I request you to please go through the CCAP website and look at CCAP structure section. You will get better idea regarding the subjects taught. And yes yo can apply for the programme if you want to build your career in finance. Many students pursuing the programme are also from the engineering stream.

I have registered for the CCAP recently. During filling up the online form I choose “fresher” but actually I worked in a small firm for about 3 months (july to October). I left the job before my probation ended (which was of 6 months) and so many people are telling me that this will not be counted as experience. I did get a relieving mail(soft copy) from my supervisor and that is the only document I got from the company. So, is it fine that I selected “fresher” option for this or do I need to register again?

      Hello,
I won’t b able to give you the exact number of people who are going to appear for the CCAP test as the numbers are not disclosed. The selection for the GD/PI round depends upon the candidate’s CCAP test scores or CAT/XAT scores. If the person has scored more than the cut-off decided, he/she will definitely be selected for the course.

Now I have a doubt regarding my educational background. Since I am already a post graduate and that too in finance will this create problem during the selection process? Will I be asked to keep looking for a research job? I know I will spend 2 years studying again if I am selected as a full time participant but I also know that this is a gateway to some of the best research jobs in the country.

No absolutely not. The selection is purely on the basis of your merit. You having a master’s degree won’t be a hindrance in the selection process. People with post graduation degree have been selected in the programme. The programme is structured in a manner to help you excel in the field of finannce. Also you can once go through CRISIL website and look through the various businesses of CRISIL to get a better idea of the operations of CRISIL.

The essay question can be based on any topic. It can be based on current affairs, economy, finance, etc. Read as much as you can. Decent reading habit and good communication skills help you get through the essay section easily. Personally, when I was giving the exam we were given 5 random words without any connection between them. We were asked to write an essay containing all the words. But am not sure what it could be this year. It can be any anything.

Keep yourself updated on current affairs and read as much as you can. You can refer to GK books which are available in the market like Manorma. Hi,
The difficulty level of the CCAP aptitude test is of the same level as that of CAT/XAT exam. So you can refer to CAT books in order to prepare for the CCAP test. There are no past papers available for the test. But you can refer to past CAT/XAT papers for practise and it will surely give you an idea of how the test is.
I would not be able to provide you with the selection ratio. Every year around 40-45 students have been selected on the basis of their merit.

      Hi,
CCAP is a course that is designed to help you work and study within CRISIL, so you will find that all the subjects that are taught are finance and economics related. This course is structured to help you get into a pure finance related field. The work that you can expect to do within CRISIL will help you excel as a financial analyst. However, if you are talking about pure business analysis, a full-time MBA programme would suit your needs better.

Yes, definitely there will be a change as the fields are not similar. But many people change fields these days as per their choice and changing fields is not frowned upon. It is a little challenging to jump over to a completely new field, to learn and master it. But I would also add that a good number of CCAPians are from non-finance background and have opted for CCAP to gain entry and learn finance and are also doing well.

Candidates have to make own arrangements. Will crisil help in finding suitable hoste/PG nearby? How were the previous batches, especially girls were managing for accommoation/food/cooking amidst the hectic work and study schedules? what is Life at NITIE means does the program happen in NITIE campus? does that have hostel facility? In the food in office (lunch time) free or subsidized for the CCAP students or they have to cook and bring their own lunch dubba?

      February 19, 2014 at 11:00 pm

      Hi,
Firstly classes no longer happen at NITIE campus. That was so only till the 5th batch. CRISIL does not provide for any accommodation. The candidates (girls and boys) have to make their own arrangements. But yes CRISIL does provide the candidates with contact numbers of brokers, which help them in finding suitable accommodation. The food arrangements have to be made by the candidates themselves. Many cook, some eat in office canteen, some have kept cooks who prepare dubbas. It all depends on what one wants to do and how he/she wants to manage. Lastly, the food at CRISIL canteen is not subsidised.

I am planning to appear for ccap this march.. However, I am not able to get an idea regarding the difficulty level of the aptitude test.. Could you give me a rough idea as to which competitive exam(cat, xat, snap etc) the ccap can be compared with?

    1) can you please suggest some preparation books for clearing this exam ..
    2) also tell me the marks allotted for each section and for essay.
    3) is there any sectional cut off ?? or total (overall) cut off ?? also is there any standard cut off (like 90 %le to get through the exam) set by crisil .. or they follow some equipercentile method (like based on candidates performance.. they decide the %le) ???
    4) also candidates who have given this exam .. plz do share your experience and guidance as i am giving this exam for the first time !!!

    thanks

There are many CAT preparation books available in the market. You can refer to those. R S Agarwal and Arun Sharma are two authors who write CAT books. You can use those if you like. Each question has 1 mark each and the essay has 10 marks. There are 20 questions in Quant, logic and DI, and Verbal ability. The GK section has 25 questions. There is an overall cut-off as well as sectional cut-off. The overall cut-off is 90 per cent and a minimum 80 per cent cut-off is required in all the sections.

      Hi,
The training is usually for six hours from 9.30 am to 5 pm. As for the office timings are concerned there are no fix time as such. The time of work varies from department to department. Also the number of work hours you put are also depended on your work load. You need to work hard as you have to complete your work in four days.

These are just suggestions. You can refer to any other books that are available. For the GK section be well read. Be updated on current affairs, economy, sports and other such topics. There are many websites who provide GK material or articles on current affair. Go ahead and read those. Good reading will help you in both GK as well as Essay writing.

      Hi,
The preparations for the CCAP Aptitude test is not much different from what is required in other competitive exams. So if you have given any competitive exam before a thorough revision of the topics should be enough. As for the GK section read as much as you can from various sources. Also you can refer to many sites, available online which give you information on current affairs and will help you to enhance your general knowledge.

      Hi Deepanwita,

There is an option in the application form through which you can submit your CAT score. If your CAT score is equal to or greater than the cutoff, you will be allowed to skip the CCAP Aptitude Test and will straightaway get a GD/PI call. Cutoff change each year but is generally above 90 percentile. Keep watching this space for more updates.

      Hi Priyanka.

Well, that means that a candidate’s further employment with CRISIL depends on the his/her performance through the course, academics and at work. If the concerned candidate does not meet the set standards, then he/she may not be absorbed into the company. One is offered a job upon ‘successful’ completion of the program.

Hope this helps. I’d suggest you drop a mail to sonia.shetty@crrisil.com for any further clarification about this.

      Hi Aman!
This question has been discussed on Pagalguy forums as well as on the , you will find a link ‘CCAP: as an alternative to MBA’.
Why would you join CCAP, depends on your own career aspirations. It’s about what’s in line with your career aspirations. CCAP has a few advantages over a conventional MBA, but nothing is free of flaws. Please do go over the Pagalguy forums, a few blog posts and the Facebook page – this will help you get perspectives. You can get back with any specific questions you may have.

    Hi Tanvi
I have been shortlisted for GD/PI via CRISIL aptitude test. I am currently pursuing an 5 year integrated BE MBA course from Panjab University, Chandigarh. I am majors in finance plus BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I have a query that relates to this programme am currently pursuing. I will pass out as an MBA. And ours course is also AICTE approved and is associated with one of the renowned university but ours is the first batch. So my query goes as “Will this thing affect my evaluation during my PI??”. Hi Vipul.
Sorry was away for a while.
Congratulations on being shortlisted for the GD/PI. Well, it will not affect your evaluation, in the sense that it won’t be a disadvantage to you. During the PI, a few questions about the candidate’s background are asked, and you may be questioned about your degree, your aspirations while joining that unique program, and why CCAP.
CCAP does have a diverse background of students, from various backgrounds like engineering, arts, commerce, science etc., along with a few postgraduate students. The one thing we all have in common is a keen interest in finance and the willingness to learn and work hard. If you can showcase that much, then your background won’t stand in your way.
      All the best!

      Hi Hiren.

      Thank you!
There isn’t a standard way to create a good impression. That’s why we’ve put up all the GD/PI experiences, so it helps get a certain picture of how the process goes.
Personally, I’d say just be yourself, be straightforward and answer the questions put to you frankly. Make sure you showcase your strengths, be prepared to think on your feet as all the questions may not straightforward.
For the GD, keep calm, give everyone a chance to participate, but make sure you make your point clearly.
I’d also suggest you go over the CRISIL website thoroughly. That will help you get some sense of where you could fit in.

If you make sure you that meaning of what you’re trying to convey comes out right, a misplaced word or a verb that doesn’t agree with the subject may not do you that much harm. Don’t be nervous during the GD/PI. It’s not that the most flamboyant constructions or the most difficult words are appreciated. As it is said, for any GD, content is king.

      Hi Niriksh!

The test will have 5 sections: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Essay Writing. The test duration is 135 minutes. The test is structured similar to CAT, so you can use the same material to study.
For eesay writing, you can refer to Analytical Writing – Analysis of Issue in GRE/GMAT. For GK, you can refer to SNAP & other B-school entrance examinations that include a GK section.

    1) Is there any seprate time that will be provided to us to attempt this section?

      tanvi90 said:
      March 5, 2013 at 3:11 pm

      Hi Nishtha!

The 135 minutes duration of the test covers all 5 sections. Time will be equally distributed between sections. Additional time will not be provided.
The essay has to be typed.

        Deep Shah said:
        March 13, 2013 at 6:55 pm

You mean that the time left after completing the first section cannot be utilized for any other section that commands higher time. In such case, please provide the sectional time allocation. It is very vital considering the preparation required for each section.
Also, I would like to clarify another query. As per your earlier post, there is 0.25 negative marking. Are the marks deducted for not attempting any question or only for answers provided wrongly?

          tanvi90 said:
          March 18, 2013 at 2:56 pm

          Hi Deep!

Not attempting a question will not attract negative marking.
The time will be equally divided between all the sections.

Candidates preparing for CAT and other entrance exams are likely to have an edge over other candidates for Aptitude tests. Will that not lead to a wrong selection?

Please let me know the significance of various profiles of the work. What type of analysis does the participant do?

      March 2, 2013 at 12:38 pm

      Hi Deep!

Well, the exam is simply structured like CAT, in the sense that one could use the same material to prepare for the Aptitude test. I think tackling the paper is based on your intelligence and quick thinking.

As a CCAPian, you may be placed into one of CRISIL’s business – Ratings, Global Research & Analytics, Research, Risk Solutions, Infrastructure Advisory etc. You can find details about these at crisil.com
The nature of your work will depend on the business unit assigned.

The aptitude test will be structured on the same lines as CAT. So the same preparation should suffice.

I do understand that CRISIL wants people who will complete the two year work/study but do they also take into account candidate’s likely chance of staying beyond two years. Or in short what are the chances of rejection if candidate want to move on for higher studies after two years.

      Hi Kumar!
Acceptance into the program is based purely on merit and performance in the Aptitude test and GD/PI.
CRISIL encourages individual growth. Your future higher education plans are unlikely to influence the decision.

      Hi Neelam!
The CCAP Batch VII registrations are now open.
There isn’t a minimum score or cut-off. The aptitude test will be similar to CAT. There will be five sections – Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge and Essay Writing. The test duration is 135 minutes.
To apply, you need to hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 60 % or the equivalent cumulative grade point average (CGPA).

For all the Aspirants who have been shortlisted for GD/PI:
The GD topics would be controversial or factual ones with ample points that can be discussed in the stipulated time of the GD.
The PI would be more in line to gauge how interested you are to make a career in finance and how well this program is placed to help u in achieving ur short term and long term goals. Regarding the acads part u might be asked some questions based on ur academic background, finance related queries wont be asked if u do not have a fin background.
People with work ex would be asked abt their profile and related stuff.
All the best for the GD/PI.

This would basically test your creativity and writing skills. Any kind of reading and knowledge on current topics would benefit.

I am very keen to join CCAP, but I expect to get around 58 percent in consolidated graduate marksheet. So am I eligible for the programme. If, not is there any way out for me to apply for the programme.

One more query is that, apart from the application fees of Rs.1500, is there any other course fees like tution fees. And Since I am in Kolkata, should i have to come to Mumbai to study and work or just is there any provision to stay here only.

There isn’t any bond after the completion of the course, but during the 2 years of the course there is an agreement which u sign and a payment clause is applicable if u leave during these two years.
The level of the test is also comparable to CAT but then since the scores wud be compared across all the candidates, the difficulty level doesnt have much relevance.

Also the aspirants are finally selected based on d Crisil Aptitude test score or CAT/XAT score, GD/PI and profile. There is no G.K. section in the test. The test pattern is in line with the CAT(Common Admission Test) syllabus, however additionally an Essay writing section is also there in the CCAP test. 1. I’ve been quite an underperforming student during graduation. However, my intellectual skills are (maybe) good enough. I goofed up my Engineering(year gap) but have got true inclination towards finance sector. Do I really hold any chance??
    2. Do we get separate work ex certificates for the two year program?

The sample paper is provided just for a reference, the no. of questions will be more than 20..The scores of the test are not revealed, the aspirants are given a call for the GD/PI based on both the application form and the Apt test scores which they evaluate internally.

      Regards,

Will I have to undergo any special coaching for the CCAP aptitude test? Moreover I am a little weak in subjects like Mathematics, etc.

Apologies that no one could reply to your query for so long. It was bit hectic for all of us in the recent past. Anyways, as far as your query on aptitude test is concerned it will be more or less on CAT lines. Details will be launched soon as Anish mentioned above. I also qualified for this thru CCAP aptitude test, without having any prior exposure to CAT or any such aptitude test. So brush up your math, english, reasoning skills.

    Hi moderators

I cleared CCAP 2010-12 GD PI and have been placed for internship in reasearch.

    I had a few doubts.

1.How difficult is it to clear this course if you do not have a finance background, considering I am a postgraduate in Economics (with no work experience) and have been academically strong throughout?

    2. How relevant is the internship in research, especially in comparison to the other divisions? Do I stand a good chance of making a strong career in finance with this background of 2 years? Though i had not opted for research, i seem to have been alloted that.

    3. If i clear the course according to their criteria, am i sure to be absorbed by CRISIL after 2 years?

    Thanks

      Hi Anirudh,

There are no terms for what kind of shirt you can wear. Both are allowed. In GAC, some days (typically fridays) are ‘casual days’ when you can wear even a jeans and t-shirt.
First day is ususally interaction day. The batch starts and people from CRISIL come and talk about CRISIL and the programme. Then might be the HR formalities, talks on the programme, gyan from HR. They also give books to the needy. :) (This was what happened with the first batch and this was what I could remember).

      Thnx.

Well Ankur, good to see your interest in finance, Why changing the field demands an honest reply in my opinion, plus you can very well relate your current experience’s usefulness in any company, in finance too you work on the client side, you face them everyday on phone, in meetings. So your marketing experience is an added value to your communication skills, plus just talk about your interest in finance, your ease with numbers if it exists.

But before that just an alarm bell for you, dnt know how much you’re earning and how good a job you’re into, please revisit and reconsider your decision, CCAP after two years will place you at the level you get placed after any standard PG program, might seem an entry elevl to you, plus letting go off a salary for a stipend seems easy before you really face it, just keep it clear in ur mind that you’re ready to be here without getting a degree, or diploma and a best in industry package.

last years cut off was 90%ile overall for both XAT and CAT and 80%ile for each section, this year expected to be higher since applications are high in number.
